Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Constitution Pipeline has awarded Broome County $25,000 to fix up trails and roads in Otsiningo Park.

Broome County Legislature Chairman Jerry Marinich (R) said the county applied for the grant last year.

"It's gonna help make some much needed repairs to the trails and the older part in Otsiningo Park," Marinich said. "And I think that's a great asset for us, and it's not going to cost the county taxpayers one dime."

The money comes from a $300,000 fund for 16 projects across the Twin Tiers.

Constitution Pipeline spokesperson Cindy Ivey presented the check and said it's part of their commitment to the community.

"We do believe in investing the community and this is a prime example. Even before we have employees or infrastructure in the area," Ivey said. "The whole point is to improve the communities in which we will be in the area."

The money will help widen the trails and provide more room for runners at the many races in the park.

It will also provide more room for vendors at the annual Spiedie Fest.
