Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) On Sunday, local florists were bustling with people picking last minute flowers for the mothers in their lives. But if you wanted to give your bouquet that extra, personal touch, Price Chopper was the place to plant your creativity.

Floral assistants helped kids under 12 and their parents assemble flowers to give to their special women.

Nicole Fabrizio even incorporated her own ideas into the design she'll give to her mother in Conklin.

"I had the idea before I came here. I just came here initially to get flowers, and then I decided to do it here actually," says Nicole Fabrizio. "I'm very grateful. She helps me everyday."

"It's really nice, because the kids get to - I mean [for] $5 dollars, the kids will come in themselves, and say, 'I came in with the money to make it.'" says Floral Assistant Natalie Espinal. "You wrap it up for them, and they walk away with the sense of fulfillment, like they did it themselves."

For $5, Price Chopper provided three bunches of flowers to put together. The stores offered workshops Saturday and Sunday.
