Auburn Twp., Pa. (WBNG Binghamton) A Meshoppen, Pa., man is accused of raping three women related to his partner over the course of the past decade.

Pennsylvania State Police said 64-year-old Joseph Benson raped the women, who are now 23, 21 and 18, beginning when they were 9 years old.

The women informed state police about the abuse on Monday, telling them the sexual assaults happened at a home on Pierson Road in Auburn Twp.

State police said the women are related to Benson's partner, Linda Denniston, 57, who is also from Meshoppen.

Police said the three women reported the abuse to Denniston, but she kept quiet and even made the children lie when asked about the abuse.

Benson was charged with several crimes, including rape and other associated charges.

Denniston was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and other associated crimes.
