Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton Police arrested three men in connection with a drive-by shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon on the city's south side.

Binghamton police responded just before 4 p.m. to the area of Rush Avenue and Manier Avenue.

They confirmed multiple shots were fired at a man who was outside but no one was injured.

On Friday, police announced that James Durham, 35, and Celene Thompson, 35, both of Binghamton, and Lance Johnson, 39, of Johnson City, had been arrested.

Binghamton Police say Johnson City officers located the suspects at an undisclosed location Thursday night. The men were taken to the Binghamton Police Department where they were questioned and later arrested.

Each suspect was arraigned in Binghamton City Court Friday morning on a charge of attempted assault in the first degree. They were sent to the Broome County Jail.

Detectives believe only one gun was used but have not identified who may have fired the shots.

While police were searching for two suspect vehicles on Thursday detectives said the three men were not located in one of the vehicles described. They never confirmed that a second vehicle was involved.
