Town of Chenango, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Broome County fire investigators determined the cause of Thursday's fire at Ponderosa Steakhouse.

Investigators said an electrical wire shorted out, which set the front façade of the restaurant on fire.

It happened around 11:40 p.m. Thursday at the restaurant on Upper Front Street.

Chenango and Chenango Bridge fire crews responded.

When Action News got there, the flames had been extinguished, but smoke could still be seen through the roof, where most of the damage occurred.

There were no injuries.

Fire investigators said the fire caused very little damage inside of Ponderosa.
