Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Police are investigating a bank robbery.
It happened around 11:00 a.m. at the M&T Bank on Vestal Avenue in the City of Binghamton.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 30's, around 5' 8", medium build, with a blue plaid button up shirt over a white t-shirt, shorts and white sneakers.
Police say he has a scruffy beard and was wearing wire-rimmed glasses.
He was last seen heading eastbound on Vestal Avenue around 11:15 a.m. and may have fled in either a green SUV or dark colored pick-up truck.
Binghamton Police Chief Joseph Zikuski says the man got away with an unknown amount of money.
Early reports say a bank clerk was passed a note and the suspect said he had a gun, but it was not seen.
