Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Incumbent Debbie Preston has retained the position of Broome County executive with a convincing win over challenger Tarik Abdelazim.
Preston won in convincing fashion, taking more than 60 percent of the vote.
"It feels great. You know? But we've worked hard, you know, myself, my team, we've worked hard these last 10 months. And the people have spoken and I'm very proud and honored that they've elected me to be their county executive for the next four years," said Preston.
Preston said that it really is all about jobs, so that's one of the main things she will focus on for her four year term in office.
