Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A voice went out over the Binghamton University radio airwaves in honor of 9/11 that hasn't been heard on WHRW for more than a decade--that of Paul Battaglia.
Battaglia is a BU grad who was working on the 100th floor of Tower 1 on the day of the attacks.
Jason Isaac came up with the idea in honor of his old college friend while going through some old radio airchecks.
He put together a collection of Battaglia's broadcasts, playing them Tuesday night as a tribute to this alum.
"People just remember him as a friendly guy who just took care of business with professionalism and always with a smile," said Isaac.
Battaglia's legacy lives on at BU through the radio station's annual Radiothon and streaming broadcast, both of which he created.
