Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Parishioners of St. Cyril and Methodius and the Church of the Holy Trinity are remembering the Rev. George Sandor.

"Father George was just a super, super nice priest, a priest who would go out of his way basically to do anything for anybody, anytime." said Mark Steveskey, a parishioner from the town of Maine.

Sandor died last week after morning mass.

"He will be greatly missed," said Ashley O'Donnell of Johnson City. "I used to come here to the parish festival. He was always so warm and engaging."

Action News was there earlier Sunday as friends and family walked into the church for his viewing.

"Father George has really been a, I think, quite an asset to this community," said Carol Martinichio of Binghamton. "I know when our mother died, he was wonderful as far as letting us do different things for the funeral which I though was very nice."

At 11 a.m. on Monday, there will be a Mass of Christian Burial at the church.

Sandor was 68 years old.
