Police searching for two men who robbed gold, coin shop

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Police are searching for two men who robbed a jewelery and coin exchange store on Main Street in Binghamton Friday.

The call came in just before 7 p.m.

According to scanner reports, two black males in their 20's robbed the Silver and Gold Expressions at 348 Main St.

Police set a perimeter from Main Street to Lake Avenue, all along Emma Street. K-9 unit was called out, and police were searching through the woods in residential areas, as well as along the rail road tracks.

One male is described to be 5 foot 6 inches, with a thin build, wearing a blue shirt with white lettering, blue jeans and a light hat.

The other male is 5 foot 9 inches, wearing a red T-shirt, cargo pants and a dark baseball cap.

The investigation is on-going.
