Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Dozens of bikers revved their engines on Saturday in honor of a Windsor teenager who passed away nine years ago.

Family and friends of Dominick Torto honored him with a memorial motorcycle ride through New York and Pennsylvania on Saturday.

Torto, who had Downs syndrome, died in 2004 from pneumonia at the age of 16.

His family says their favorite memories of the grandson, son and brother were alive in their minds while riding down the road.

"It's a beautiful day, so we know he's here," said Dominick's sister, Allie Torto.

"He loved the trees, just to touch them, and bushes. He loved the trees and the birds. He just liked being outside," said Dominick's mother, Cathi Deyo.

The memorial ride was organized by Manny Fasano, of Binghamton. Fasano was Torto's grandfather.

Fasano says he hope to make this an annual ride.

All proceeds from the ride will go to the Downs Syndrome Network and the Ronald McDonald House in Syracuse.
