Two arrested for robbery at Afton Xtra Mart

Afton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Two Binghamton residents have been arrested for robbing a convenience store in Chenango County at knifepoint.

New York State Police arrested Scott G. Frost, 28, and Arianna M. Michalski, 22.

Police say at around 2 a.m., Thursday, the two robbed the Xtra-Mart on Main Street in the town of Afton.

They stole cash and property, then fled.

Both were caught at a Super 8 motel Friday.

While police were at the motel, they also arrested Shane J. Jasak, 25, and Emily A. Shaver, 23.

Frost, Jasak and Shaver were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument in the town of Dickinson.

Frost is also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

Frost and Michalski were arraigned in Afton Village Court.

Frost was sent to the Chenango County Jail without bail.

Michalski was sent to the Chenango County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Jasak and Shaver were both arraigned in Town of Dickinson Court and sent to the Broome County Jail on $1,000 bail.

The investigation is ongoing.
