Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Running can be great exercise.
Wednesday at Maine-Endwell High School some people were doing just that, but with style.
It was the 16th annual Red Dress Run, sponsored by the Triple Cities Runners Club.
For some it was the first time they had worn a dress, let alone run in one. But there were veteran red dress runners willing to impart some advice.
"I mean, just run like you're not wearing a dress at all," said Samantha Ridgeway from the town of Union.
Money raised through the event benefited the Crime Victims Assistance Center.
In its 16 years, the event has become a tradition for many, including those in the organization it helps.
"I like to come personally to watch the sea of red. I think it says a lot for our cause and our mission and a great show of support in the community," said Raini Baudendistel, executive director of the Crime Victims Assistance Center
There were awards for "First Frock Female and Male," "Male Most in Touch with His Feminine Side" and "Most Desperate Housewife."
