Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Southern Tier is not off the hook just yet when it comes to winter weather. Snow has, once again, made for dangerous driving conditions.

It might be hard to believe but in just a few days spring will officially begin.

The Twin Tiers on Monday got a friendly reminder from Mother Nature that March isn't too late for a steady snow.

For a brief period Monday evening, road conditions deteriorated quickly, but crews had main thoroughfares mostly clear by midnight.

Local law enforcement say they were seeing a lot of minor fender benders. And only minor injuries were reported from weather-related accidents as of midnight.

Police are warning drivers to slow down and give enough time Tuesday morning for a slower-than-expected commute.
