Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) More than 130 educational displays line the George F. Johnson Elementary's gym for the "Festival of Learning".

Students from kindergarten through fifth grade participated.

Students created projects on everything from how a volcano erupts to how Legos were created to what makes paper airplanes fly.

The event allows students to learn and explore more about something that interests them.

"Basically we really look at it as an opportunity to extend the learning beyond the classroom and create some really neat activities for families to work out at home together," said Principal Michelle Feyerabend, of George F. Johnson Elementary School.

Feyerabend continued to talk about the support they received from the PTA. She said the festival would not be possible without them.
