Johnson City, N.Y. (WBNG Binghamton) People are getting ready for Easter Sunday and the sweet surprises that come along with the holiday.

'Somethin' Sweet,' a gourmet candy store located on Harry L Drive, has been busier this year than any other chocolate season since its opening.

"Usually we're busy, but we haven't been this busy in a long time, which is really exciting," said owner Elizabeth Bachura. "So it's really great that the economy is coming back and customers are coming back."

People are shopping for Easter specialties, but also for just about anything chocolate to fill up baskets.

Somethin' Sweet is busy making a lot of specialty items and Easter-themed chocolates. The owner said each day she tries to make enough treats to keep customers happy but, by the end of the night, shelves are empty once again.

"So they're waiting on the customers and we're in the back, just crazily making as much as we can to make their Easter special," Bachura said.

Bachura said one of the most popular treats this year is her Easter-themed ice cream cones, which is filled with chocolate and topped with marshmallows and peeps.
