Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Members of the Downtown Endicott Business Association gave the gift of clean streets to its village partners.

The Downtown Endicott Business Association expressed it's gratitude to the village of Endicott Tuesday with an industrial strength sidewalk cleaner at the Avenue Summer Concert Series Sponsors reception. The gift was a way to say thanks to the village for all their help during the Avenue Summer Concert Series.

The Billy Goat Multi-Vacuum is self-propelled and can clean both hard and turf surfaces.

Brian Luby, president of the Downtown Endicott Business Association, says it will make it easier for downtown Endicott to host events like their summer concert series.

Village Mayor John Bertoni says this street cleaner will become especially useful in the coming months.

"When the leaves are falling, we wish we had something like this, and now we got it," Bertoni said.

"These things are fantastic for pulling up leaves," Luby said. "It'll actually pick up glass and metal and chop it up into small pieces."

The Billy Goat will make it's premier Wednesday night after the village's final Avenue Summer Concert.

The association also presented $500 to the Boys and Girls Club and Wendy's Walk.
