Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The day after Christmas is usually a major shopping day, but it is also a major day for Christmas present returns.

Many retailers, like Target, had the return's department in their stores fully staffed, in anticipation of the flood of customers with returns or exchanges.

"We see, you know, our share of returns. Whether it be clothing that may not fit, you know exactly the way they had hope," said Heather Bryant a Team Leader at Target.

Because stores planned for this season of Christmas returns, most customers found the process relatively easy.

"I expected long lines and a lot of waiting. It’s not the case actually. Everyone seems to be calm,” said Wayne Maston of Little Meadows, Pa.

As long as you have a gift receipt with your return, you shouldn't run into any issues. If you do not have a gift receipt some stores, like Target may still be able to process the return. Other store have a special holiday return policy, as well.
