Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Vestal Golden Bears held their graduation ceremony at the Binghamton University Event center Saturday afternoon.

Some students said they're happy to graduate, but sad to leave their friends.

"It's bittersweet because it's like I finally got it, I'm finally there, we're done, milestone...But then, it's like, I'm not going to be able to see everybody that I am seeing right now," said Zia Siddiqui, Vestal Graduate.

The principal of Vestal remarked on the togetherness of this particular class.

"Their energy, there's a lot of unity among these seniors. You've seen many of the motor boards are decorated, I've been quoted on the beach balls. But there really are many traditions that this senior class has that unified them as a group," said Katherine Hepler, Principal at Vestal High School.

A total of 280 students received diplomas and many of them said the memories they have made at Vestal will be ones they will never forget.
