David G. Barr


Died: October 25, 2011

David G. Barr, 55, of Binghamton passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 25, 2011. He was predeceased by his father, George E. Barr. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Barr; sister, Catherine (Clark) Mosher; his fiancée and the love of his life, Eileen (Leenie) Nord and her daughters, Amanda and Missy (Jeremiah) and Sydney; son, James (Ashley). He is also survived by nieces, Meg (Ken) and Elizabeth; nephews, Chase (Joey), Andrew (Ashley); great nephews, Ronan, Ryder, Caden and Gavin; aunts and uncles, Jane and Henry Tierney, Jack and Joan Barr and many loving cousins. He was a graduate of Chenango Valley High School and was employed as a pressman by the Binghamton Press. David's greatest joy was riding his Harley. He was a talented drummer and singer and music was a big part of his life. David loved spending time with family and friends and with his and Leenie's dogs, Jake, Loki and NaNa. He enjoyed life, he was full of laughter and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 2pm at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 Noon until the time of service.
