On December 30, 2011, our beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, Christopher James Brown, left this earth unexpectedly. He was predeceased by his great-grandmother, Alberta E. Williams. Chris is survived by his parents, Jeff and Debra Harris; brother and sister, Caiden and Cayleanna Harris of Johnson City; his beloved grandparents, Arthur and Darlene LaBar of Binghamton and Grandma Bonnie of Binghamton; his very special aunts and uncles, Stephen and Jodi Youngs of Binghamton, Carl Russel and Michele Williams-Geist of Chenango Bridge, Jim and Dawna Cicak of Castle Creek, and Uncle Johnny of Binghamton; very many special cousins, Stephanie and Cody Van Hoesen of Greene, Brittany Youngs, Karissa Salton (Kevin Cochrane) and Karlee Youngs, all of Binghamton, Jason Geist and fiancee Erica Barnes of Binghamton, Corporal Eric and Lacee Mettler, United States Army, of Binghamton, Jared Geist (Jacqueline Parkes) of Binghamton, Jeremy and Lisa Martin and daughter Kasey Martin of Vestal, Mark and Keri McFadden and their children Skyler, Alexis, and Anthony of Endicott, Sergeant First Class Pedro and Stephanie Masso of Crestview, FL; many loving friends, John Talcott, T.D. Bookhout, Joe Alapeck, Peter Libous, Brett Mizera, Heather Lashier, and Keith and Janie Smith; and many caring and loving extended family members. Christopher graduated from Johnson City High School in 2007. After graduation Chris enlisted in the United States Army as an airborne infantryman where he was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC in the 82nd Airborne Division. He completed one tour in Iraq in 09-10. Some of the many things Chris enjoyed in his life were jumping out of planes, hiking in the Adirondack Mountains, playing video games, woodworking and drawing. Chris was an avid collector of many things. Chris' life was spent spending time with his family and friends whether it was camping, playing cards, spending time with his brother, sister and little cousins, or just playing pranks on everyone he loved. Chris lived life to the fullest every chance he could. Chris would help anyone he could and has touched so many people's lives. Everyone who knew him loved him and he will be greatly missed.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY 13901. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Chenango Valley Cemetery, 120 Nolan Road, Binghamton, NY 13901. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Red Cross Chapter, 620 East Main Street, Endicott, NY 13760 in memory of Christopher James Brown.

I am so very sorry for Chris and his family, his being has taught me about myself and about life, I will be forever grateful to have known him...he will be in my heart forever...love you Chris...my prayers go out to him and his family
