Donald F. Geiger, 96, of Kirkwood went to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, October 2, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Anna Geiger; and one brother, William Geiger. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert J. and Lorraine J. Geiger; two grandsons and spouses, Eric and Chris Geiger, Donald and Amanda Geiger, all of Kirkwood; three great-grandchildren, Edwin Somers, Nickolas Geiger, and Aidan Geiger, all of Kirkwood; several nieces and nephews. Donald attended Twin Orchard Baptist Church, Vestal. He was a wonderful, devoted husband for 72 years and a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Funeral and committal services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City on Friday at 11 a.m. Pastor Timothy Dodd will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Rural Cemetery, Kirkwood. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the services. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to Gideons International, Broome West Camp, PO Box 42, Bible School Park, NY 13737 in Donald F. Geiger's memory.
