Helen (Seversky) Banko, 86, of Endicott passed away Sunday afternoon, October 7, 2012 at her home. She was predeceased by her parents, Demetri & Catherine Seversky; 6 sisters, Mary Seversky, Anna Russin, Eva Paraska, Tess Crane, Catherine Willis and Margaret Mihalko; 3 brothers, Nikolai Seversky, Peter Seversky and Paul Seversky. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Nicholas Banko, Endicott; 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Terese & David Royer, York, PA, Denise Banko, Endicott; 2 grandsons, Christopher & Daniel Royer; 1 sister, Theresa Seversky, Endicott; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Endicott. Helen was an avid New York Yankees and New York Mets fan who loved to watch and listen to the games; she was well-known for her cooking and baking. The family wishes to thank Dr. Victor Elinoff and Dr. Ronald Harris and their staffs for the excellent care and compassion that was shown over the years, and also thank you to Lourdes Hospice and Family and Children's Society for their loving care and support that was shown to Helen.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, 9:30 AM from the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc., 1905 Watson Blvd., Endicott, and at 10:00 AM at Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM. The Rev. Peter Tomas will hold a Parastas Service on Tuesday, 6:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Banko may be made to Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery Fund, 106 N. Rogers Ave., Endicott, NY 13760.
