Helen (Kopy) Kopij
Helen (Kopy) Kopij went to be with her Lord after a brief illness on Monday, October 8, 2012. She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Honorata Kopy, and a brother, Joseph. She is survived by her husband, Kazimierz (Kas); a brother, John (Mary Ann), New York; cousins, Justina and Richard Aron, Long Island, NY; special cousins, Ken and Pam Harris, California, and many other cousins and nephews in the United States and Poland. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott, and a retired IBM Corp. employee. Some of her many memberships included Kopernik Society, Polish Community Center, American Legion Post 1700 Auxiliary, Endicott and was a co-founder and first president of the Bill Flynn Polka Parade. Helen will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 11 a.m. from St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Avenue, Endicott. Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endicott. The family will receive friends at church Friday from 10 a.m. until Mass time at 11 a.m.
