Helen Bilik, of Endwell, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ernestine Bilik, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA of complications from Whippel surgery. A lifelong resident of Broome County, Helen graduated from Union-Endicott High School and immediately began working at IBM from which she retired after 42 years of Progressive Increased Responsibility. For over 58 years, Helen spent summers at her cottage on Crescent Lake in Auburn Township, PA. She was actively involved in the Crescent Lake Association and was known affectionately as "The lady of the lake". Helen was fond of tatting and crocheting, traveled widely and enjoyed golf, fishing and gardening. She was a superb cook, baked her own bread and family and friends eagerly awaited her annual gifts of Christmas cookies. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Joseph and Anthony Bilik; sister, Mary Bilik; nephew, David Bilik. She leaves to cherish her memory, sisters, Antoinette Wheatley and Mildred Russo; brother, Edward Bilik; sister-in-law, Stephanie Bilik; niece, Sharon Kotson; nephews, Tom Wheatley, Michael, James and Darrin Bilik; grand-nephew and niece, Michael Kotson and Ashley Vaccaro; and a host of friends and acquaintances.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell.

Helen was an amazing loving person! She will be greatly missed! I will never forget he day she hugged me and told me how lucky my daughter is to have a mom like me it makes me smile to know I touched her heart just like she touched mine!
