Harold L. Severcool, 80, of Montrose, PA passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at his home after an extended illness. He was born in Springville Twp., PA to the late Frank J. and Sophriona A. (Squiers) Severcool. His wife of 60 years, Dorothy (Bush), survives. Also surviving are his two daughters and sons-in-law, Irma and Phil Beardslee, Springville, PA, Bonnie and Robert Kinner, Vestal, NY; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Becky Severcool, Montrose, PA, Dale and Deb Severcool, Montrose, PA, Randy and Gerilyn Severcool, Montrose, PA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Iris Severcool, Vestal, NY, Myron and Wilma Severcool, Montrose, PA; sister and brother-in-law, Welma and Keith Ross, Montrose, PA; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandson, Nicholas G. Severcool, in 2003. Harold was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. When his kids were younger, he helped with Boy Scouts and coaching Little League. He was a regular at Lockhart's, and was known as the "Avon man". Harold liked to fish, watch TV - especially a ballgame or CSPAN - and listen to country music or his brothers playing their guitars, and he did his own mechanical work. Harold always had a smile and an optimistic attitude.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Spering of the Fairdale Methodist Charge officiating. Interment will be in the Fairdale Cemetery. Friends may call on the family Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
