Mary I. Hoskins, 53, of Johnson City passed away Friday morning, November 9, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents, Donald and Catherine Ousterout; her father-in-law, William Hoskins; and a brother-in-law, Clifford Barnes. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Mark A. Hoskins, Johnson City; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Amy and Nicholas Donahue, Johnson City, Erin and Kerry Tinder, Binghamton, Jamie Hoskins, Johnson City; one granddaughter, Nora Claire Tinder; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Virginia Ousterout, Endwell, David and Eileen Ousterout, Endwell; her mother-in-law, Beverly Hoskins, Johnson City; also several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was an active member of St. James Church, Johnson City. She was an executive assistant for the United Methodist Homes in Binghamton with nearly five years of service. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.
Funeral Services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City on Tuesday at 10:30AM, and 11AM at St. James Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to Helping Hands of Broome County, 30 Harrison St. Wilson Square, Suite 102, Johnson City, NY 13790 or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, PO Box 27106, New York, NY 10087 in Mary I.
