Tammy Jane Benjamin, 47, of Glen Aubrey passed away peacefully at her home after a long and courageous battle with Crohn's Disease on Monday, November 12, 2012. She was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Norma Benjamin, and her brother-in-law, Dennis Mortenson. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Benjamin; daughter, Liza Benjamin; son and daughter-in-law, Chad & Kalleen Benjamin; parents, Harry & Evelyn Edson; brother, Terry Edson and his girlfriend, Michelle Yannetti; sister and brother-in-law, Toni & Rick Pitkin; sister and brothers-in-law, Nancy Mortenson, Pamela & Marty Compeau, Vicki Benjamin & Bruce Canova; nieces and nephews, Tony Mortenson and Athea Haas, Karen & Steve Zembek, Jami Compeau & Julianna Adams, Adam & Robin Compeau; great nieces and nephews, Allison Zembek, Nolan Zembek, and Parker Compeau. Tammy is also survived by many loving cousins, aunts and uncles. Don would like to say a special thank you to all of their caring and supportive friends. The most important thing to Tammy was her family. She was a passionate cook and looked forward to hosting a family dinner every Sunday. Tammy loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. Even though Tammy faced many difficulties with her health she remained a very positive person. Tammy gave unconditional love and always found the good in people. "We all love you and will miss you Mrs. Beasley."

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 16, at 11 a.m. at the Nichols Funeral Home, 7323 119th St., Whitney Point, NY 13862. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Castle Creek, NY. The family will receive friends at the Nichols Funeral Home on Thursday, November 15, from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crohn's Colitis Foundation, 103 Patroon Dr., Guilderland, NY 12084 or CaringBridge, P.O. Box 6032, Albert Lea, MN 56007-6632.
