Anna was a wonderful wife and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was very outgoing and greatly enjoyed making new friends, but she especially loved babies and young children and was fond of pets of any kind. She was a longtime and very active past member of the Eastern Star, the Fairdale Grange, and the South Montrose Community Church, where she was choir director and youth group leader for many years. She had a marvelous voice and performed at many weddings and events. Anna was an esteemed cook at the Montrose Inn and retired from Janner as a seamstress in the late 1980s. After they retired, she and Carl greatly enjoyed traveling in their motor home, and they reveled in people they met and places they visited. They traveled extensively and made new friends everywhere they went. Another activity that Carl and Anna enjoyed immeasurably was bluegrass festivals and the many friends they made there. Anna was always eager to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was a wonderful person and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2012 at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Setzer officiating.
