Richard Allan Embleton, 65, of Fairdale, PA passed away Friday, November 30, 2012 at Endless Mountains Health Systems, Montrose, PA. Born February 2, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Richard and Mary Embleton. He was an electrician by trade for most of his life. Richard also served as a Montrose Borough Police Officer for 8 years. Richard was an Army veteran of the the Vietnam War and a member of American Legion Post #1645, Binghamton, NY. He was a member of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church. He loved dogs, history and amateur radio, and was a Ham radio operator for many years. Richard was also an avid gun collector. Survivors include wife, Genevieve R. Embleton of Fairdale, PA; daughter, Cindy Embleton of Brooklyn, NY; son & daughter-in-law, Richard A. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bartron-Myer Funeral Home, Inc., Montrose, PA 18801. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
