Walter John Dziedzic

Walter John Dziedzic, 88, of Port Crane, NY passed away from this world on December 25, 2012 at Lourdes Hospital after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Mary A. Dziedzic, on February 4, 2012. He is survived by his two sons & spouse, Gene W. Dziedzic and friend, Frances of Johnson City, & Darrell Dziedzic and wife, Nancy of Binghamton; three stepchildren and spouses, Arlene Fiske, Chenango Forks, NY, Donald and Vi Raley, Larry and Janice Raley, of Binghamton; two grandchildren and several great grandchildren; nephews and spouses, Ronald & Andrea Majka, and John & Mary Ann Majka of Binghamton; a cousin, Mary Porzucek, Los Angeles, CA; and good friends and caregivers, Kathy Naab and Cal Vandermark of Port Crane, NY. Walter was a retired tile setter and member of the Bricklayer's Union and he proudly served his country in the US Coast Guard during World War II. He was and avid fisherman and gardener, and a loyal Syracuse football fan.

A prayer service will be held at 12:00pm (noon) on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Laskowski Funeral Home. Rev. Dennis Ruda will officiate. Burial will be in the Old Warn and TenBroeck Cemetery, Oxford, NY at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home from 10:00am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walter's name to the American Legion Post nearest you. Arrangements and supervision by Laskowski Funeral Home.
