Shirley R. Cortright Cornwell, 45, of Owego passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Shirley is survived by her husband, Michael Cornwell; parents, Richard and Josephine Cortright of Owego; children, Ricky Kipp, Jr. of Owego, Tabitha Lautt of OH, Dylan Lautt of OH, and Josephine Burgess of Waverly; sisters, Mary (Harry) Paris of PA, Sandra (Raymond) Cortright-Melancon of TX, Maggie (Scott) Heeman of Owego, and Crissy (Charlie) Rogers of Windham Center; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley enjoyed working on her craft projects and puzzles. She was always dedicating her time to others and doing charity work.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 31, 2012 at 11:00 at Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego with Rev. Mark Osborn officiating.
