Ricky L. Conklin, 60, of Kirkwood went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2013 with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his father, Leon Conklin. He is survived by his loving wife, Billie; his mother, Irene; 4 brothers, a sister, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many very special friends. He was the lead guitar player and lead singer for the Blue Ridge Mountain Revue, and everyone always said he played like his fingers were on fire. Ricky always found the good in people and believed in forgiveness. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson St., Binghamton. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
