Robert L. Davis
Robert L. Davis, 78, of Whitney Point ended his battle of 25 years with M.S. and entered the presence of the Lord on January 8, 2013. He was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence (Ada) Davis; 7 brothers, Glenn, Louis, Charles, Edwin, Lawrence, Raymond, Norman Davis; 1 sister, Doralyn Gaskill; 2 brothers-in-law, William, Donald; and sister-in-law, Joyce Hust. He is survived by his loving wife, Claire; 5 children, Terry (Carol) Davis, Johnson City, Robert (Shirley) Davis, Castle Creek, Dale (Dorothy) Davis, Endicott, Cynthia (Chris Clark) Quarella, Lisle, Robin (Dennis Driscoll) Taggart, Lisle; 27 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 4 sisters-in-law, Nora Davis, Penny Hust, Rena Hust, Shirley (Bernard) Wade; 2 brothers-in-law, Harold Hust, Dick (Pam) Gaskill; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert was a Town of Nanticoke councilman, a retired I.B.M. employee of 37 years, member of the Quarter Century Club, Auxiliary Police in Vestal, member of the Glen Aubrey Fire Dept. for many years and a former member of the Northern Broome Golden Age Club.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. from Nichols Funeral Home, 7323 119th Street, Whitney Point, NY. Burial will be in Glen Aubrey Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Nichols Funeral Home on Saturday, January 12, 2012 from 10 a.m. until service time at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the local M.S. or Hospice.
