Helen Nemcek, of Apalachin was born a coal miner's daughter. She would have reached an age of 100 years, if she lived another 2½ months. Helen outlived her husband, Leo; son, John; eight brothers and sisters, Mary, John, Betty, Sue, Ann, Vicky, George, Peggy. Helen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Mary Ann Nemcek; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Church, 147 Main St., Johnson City, NY. Arrangements are by the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home.
