Margaret R. Kokalas, 96, of Johnson City passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, January 30, 2013 at her home. She was predeceased by her husband, Captain Joseph C. Kokalas; her son, Colonel Joseph J. Kokalas; her grandson, Joseph Steber; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John (Stephie) Flederbacher, Gerald (Margaret) Flederbacher; one sister and brother-in-law, Emaline (Al) Coney. She is survived by her daughter, Carol J. McMurray, Johnson City; daughter-in-law, Nancy Kokalas, Virginia; four granddaughters, Mary, Margaret (Dave), Katy (Paul), and Donna (Bryan); three great grandsons, David, Tony, and Ted; one great granddaugther, Kelly; two great great grandsons; one niece, Joan Wilbur; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ed and Sue Kokalas, and their families; sister-in-law, Martha Kokalas; her godson, Dick (Sharon) Billings; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins of the Coney and Kokalas families. Margaret was a lifelong member of St. James Church, Johnson City and was a member of the Fatima Club. She was a foster grandparent (Grandma Margie) at St. James School.

Funeral Services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main Street, Johnson City on Monday at 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at St. James Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will recieve friends at the funeral home Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services. THE FAMILY REQUESTS NO FLOWERS.
