Arlene E. Huggins, 83, of Harpursville, daughter of Carl and Grace E. Seymour, went to her final resting place on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at her home. She was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph F. Donnelly, and second husband, Richard F. Huggins; her daughter, Cathy E. Huggins DeFreitas, and infant granddaughter, Elaine DeFreitas; three brothers, Douglas, Stanley, and Russell Seymour. She is survived by her daughter, JoAnne E. Romanchek and William Villecco; son-in-law, Dennis DeFreitas and his wife, Phyllis; 4 grandchildren, Jodi Lee, Michael and Natasha Wilmot, Jennifer and Elizabeth Parsons Wilmot, and Paul and Elaine DeFreitas; 6 great grandchildren, Scott Lee, Courtney Lee, Philip Michael Wilmot, Dylan Wilmot, Aliyah Wilmot and Leah DeFreitas. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Norma Seymour, Edna Seymour, and Audrey Huggins, and her best friend, Mae Hinkleman, along with several nephew and nieces. Arlene worked at the Harpursville Central Schools as a cashier for 27 years. She loved the game of Bingo, video poker, Nets basketball, and her cat, Baby. She will miss her Bingo friends and the Birthday Club ladies.

Memorial Services will be held at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home, 69-71 Maple Street, Harpursville on Friday at 4 p.m. Pastor Sue Shields of the Harpursville United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Nineveh Presbyterian Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Osterhoudt-Madden Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to service. Grandma Arlene will certainly be missed. She was a wonderful woman. Hugs and kisses go out to you all.
