Mildred "Midge" O. Diorio, 90, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 2, 2013. Midge was predeceased by her parents, Marvin and Florence Hickok; spouse, Nicholas Diorio, Sr.; two brothers, Leon Hickok and Donald Hickok; two sisters, Martha Orlosky and Adia Fedore; and brother-in-law, Walter Faatz. She is survived by her loving family: son, Nicholas Diorio, Jr. and his fiancée, Nancy Crompton; granddaughter and her spouse, Kimberly and David Kuehneman; two great-grandsons, Andrew Keuhnman and Angelo Scuderi; sister, Edith Faatz; several nieces, nephews and cousins, including special niece and her husband, Joyce and Roger Lott. Midge was employed for 30 years at Maple Vail-Ballou Press. She loved cooking and gardening and she will be remembered for always taking care of others. She was an earth angel to all who knew her.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Sts. John and Andrew Church. The family will welcome friends and family at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Midge's memory can be made to Feed the Children, or The Food Bank of the Southern Tier, 388 Upper Oakwood Avenue, Elmira, NY 14903 or a charity of one's choice.
