Marcella McSain, 76, of Johnson City, fell asleep in the Lord peacefully Thursday morning, October 3, 2013 at Wilson Hospital surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Catherine Murcko; a sister, Barbara Gloss. She is survived by her best friend and husband of fifty years, Michael McSain; her son, Michael McSain, Jr. and Susan; her daughter, Sharon and husband, Thaddeus Skonieczki; five grandchildren, Emily, Shannon, and Abigail McSain, and Rachel and Jessica Somma; and a nephew, Marc Murcko. She was a member of St. Michael's Greek Catholic Church and Holy Trinity Orthodox Church in Spring Hill, FL. Marcella was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to travel.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, 9 a.m. at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton, and 9:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Greek Catholic Church, 292 Clinton Street, Binghamton with the Very Rev. Protopresbyter James Dutko officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Rev. Dutko will conduct a prayer service 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Friday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider making contributions in Marcella's memory to St. Michael's Greek Catholic Church.
