Carol Ann Brunelli
Carol Ann Brunelli, of Binghamton ~~ December 9, 1945 - February 11, 2014 and onto eternity. "When we do the best that we can, we never know what miracle is wrought in our life or in the life of another." - Helen Keller, 1913. Having been filled with faith, hope, courage and the Holy Spirit throughout my illness with Multiple Myeloma, I, Carol Ann (Juracek) Brunelli was surrounded by my loving family as I went to be with my Lord, Jesus in Heaven. I am predeceased by my mother, Rita (Whalen) Juracek, my father, John Juracek, Jr., my grandparents, Larry and Nellie (Boland) Whalen, and John Juracek, Sr. and Serafina (Zoralec) Juracek. I am survived by my loving husband, Ronald A. Brunelli, and my sons whom we are all so proud of, Ronald A Brunelli, Jr. (Beth) of Baldwinsville, NY, Anthony J Brunelli (Emily Raimondi) of Boca Raton, FL, John A. Brunelli (Alisha and her daughter, August) of Binghamton; granddaughters, Amber and Eamon Dowd, and great grandson, Padraig Eamon Dowd of Clay, NY, Mercedes Brunelli and Derrick Jones of Boynton Beach, FL, Mackenzie Brunelli and Tommy Reitz, and great granddaughter, Mia Marie, Mara and Mary Syzmaniak, Beth Travis, Matthew Travis Barber, and Matt's father, Greg Barber, all of State College, PA, my four aunts and many cousins, and my much loved dog, Barnabas. I also wish to mention my best childhood friends and their families: The Abbeys and Wheelers of Riverside St. - Rhaylene, Sharon, Nancy, Carol - we were the "Riverside Four." We regularly sang, "I've got a mansion, just over the hillside in that great land where you'll never grow old." We always embraced what was to come. I thank my close friends for their love, The Hrehor Family, Sandy V., Sally, Donna, Connie, Doris, Marie, Linda S., Mary, Diane, Cathy, Penny, Marie, Michele, 2 Sandras (and our Cancer Conqueror class), and many more. I am a member of First Assembly of God Church in Binghamton. I have served as appointed Deacon, door greeter, hospitality table ministry, assistant coordinator of Missionettes, nursery and co-taught the Cancer Conqueror class with Cathy Manley and Penny Lake. I love you Cancer Conqueror Class. You have blessed me! We are more than conquerors! I'd like to be remembered by 2 words: 'she prayed.' Prayer was the breath of life to me. I devoted my life to God, to my husband, my family, my friends, my church and to prayer. Special thanks to my doctors and nurses at Lourdes Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering (NYC), Dr. Jonathan Kloss, Dr. Michael Fallon, Dr Michael Wasco, Dr. Raymond Comenzo, Dr. David Chung, Dr. Alan Lerman, Dr. Michael Bogdasarian, Dr. Ihsan Khan, Dr. Calos Martinez, Dr. Signa Perkins, Dr. Christine Fenlon, Dr. Ramesh Bhandari, and Dr. Cesar Dionisio. I have been very blessed. God's hand has been on me. God's people have prayed. And I have had God's word to stand on. I have loved and I have been loved. What else could there be! Live every day that you have and never give up! And to my husband, Ron and our three sons and family - I love you all so much. You are the best. I'll always have you in my heart and you can find me there in your hearts forever. My hope for anyone reading this is that you would give yourself in a special way. Ask Jesus Christ into your heart to be your personal savior and make Him Lord of your life. You will never be the same! P.S. - to all, past and present in my life - you have blessed me! And Hon, all I ever wanted was to grow old with you! As the late Erma Bombeck said: "When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, "I used everything you gave me.'"
