Rosemary Cooper, 94, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2014. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Frank A. Cooper, and her sister-in-law, Doris M. Reed. She is survived by her brother, Jack T. Reed of Dryden, NY; two children, Timothy D. Cooper and his wife, Sylvia of Mt. Pocono, PA, Jacqueline L. Thompson and her husband, Gordon of Binghamton; four grandchildren, Brian Cooper and his wife, Ariana of Chandler, AZ, Alison Chanfrau and her husband, Michael of Wayne, NJ, Jefferson Thompson and his wife, Katherine of Maputo, Mozambique, and Jordan Thompson of Binghamton; and five great-grandchildren, Thatcher, Sophie and Tallan Cooper, Andrew and Claire Chanfrau. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and a former office manager for the Binghamton Housing Authority. Rosemary's life was devoted to her family and she lived a full life to the end. Her family would like to express their appreciation to both Sally Seltzer and Michelle Prozeralik, who helped with Rosemary's care during the final year of her life.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 until 4 p.m. at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson St., Binghamton. A Funeral Service will be held 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
