Ryan T. Roofner, 21, of Owego, passed away Friday, November 13, 2009 from an automobile accident.
Ryan was predeceased by his grandfather, Robert Roofner. Ryan is survived by his parents, Gary and Susan Pike Roofner of Owego; brother, Kevin (Dawn) Roofner of Carmichaels, PA; sister, Dawn (Rev. Lon) Williams of Liberty, PA; grandparents, Thomas (Louise) Pike of Norwich, NY, Agnes Roofner of Worthington, PA; aunts and uncles, Audrey (David) Burman of Greensville, SC, Joanne Cooley of Middletown, PA, Rev. Paul (Grace) Roofner of Waynesburg, PA, Karen (Rev. Dave) Ervine of Altoona, PA; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Ryan was an avid skateboarder and gamer. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Newark Valley, 40 Whig Street, Newark Valley at 10:00 AM with Rev. Michael Spiegel officiating. Family invites friends to call on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 4 to 6 PM at Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Owego.

It's a shame I didn't know Ryan personally but my son was friends w/ him and this is great loss. My deepest and most profound sympathies to his family, you are in my prayers. Ryan sits now with the Lord in heaven.

Sue and Gary I am so terribly sorry for your loss. Ryan was such a wonderful person. I know that there are no words to ease your pain. I pray for God to watch over you and give you some understanding to this tragedy that has happened. God Bless.
