Norma Ruth (Wood, Fitch) Pratt, passed away November 16, 2009 after a long illness. She is survived by her devoted husband, Theodore Pratt; her daughter, Lisa (Barry) Winters; son, Russell (Michelle) Fitch; Ted's children, Nancy (Douglas) O'Dell, Gloria (William) Johnson, Sharon (John) Miranowski, Theodore (Maryanne) Pratt, Jr. and Charles (Cathy) Pratt; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, a niece and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Calvin and Marcelle Wood; and her sister, Elaine Wood. Norma retired from Amphenol and was a former member of the Faith Baptist Church and the Chenango Street Methodist Church. She was a kind and loving wife and mother with great inner strength. She enjoyed music, including singing and playing the piano, musicals and the opera. She was a past member of the Endwell Community Chorus and church choirs. She liked traveling, especially to Florida with Ted. The family extends their thanks to the staff of Willow Point Nursing Home for the care they provided.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Hopler & Eschbach Funeral Home, 483 Chenango Street, Binghamton. The Rev. Jerry Terry will officiate. Burial will be in Kattelville Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Broome Developmental Center.
