Charles S. (Buddy) Alton, 62, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2009, at Bridgewater Center after a battle with COPD. He is survived by a son, Charles, Harpursville; daughters, Jenny Hatch, Oklahoma City, and Melinda; five grandchildren; brothers, Wayne, Port Crane, Pete, Binghamton; sisters, Ruth, Utah, Gail Byam, Binghamton, Norma (Ed) Letterman, Castle Creek, Joann (Jim) Foote, Vermont; aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. We would like to send a thank you to the staff at Bridgewater Center for the kindness and care of Bud, and also to Lourdes Hospice for the support.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 20, 2009, 12:00 noon at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson. Burial will be in the Chenango Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
