Raymond Hoskins


Raymond Hoskins, 69, passed away early Saturday morning, Feburary 13, 2010 at his home following a valliant battle with cancer. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Betty (Carman) Hoskins, His sons Robert Hoskins, and Donald (Kelly) Hoskins; His Brothers and Sisters; Larry Hoskins, Randy (Melissa) Hoskins, Rusty (Diane) Hoskins, Shirley Guiles, Donna (Harold) Arnold, and Judy Smith, His 9 Grandchildren; Sheri, Jake, Maria, Guy, Danielle, Mindy, James, Dulcie, and Kyle, 14 Great-Grandchildren, also many neices nephews and cousins. He is pre-deceased by his brothers and sisters Robert, Gary, Sharon, Cleo; and brother-in-law Raymond.

Raymond was born November 29, 1940 in Richford, NY to the late Robert and Evelyn (Talcott) Hoskins. He was born and raised as a dairy farmer, a livelihood that he retained until recent years. In his younger years he participated in poney pulls, and enjoyed hunting and mororcycling. Raymond and Betty assisted in the raising several of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren during the 48 years of marriage. Raymond was a cheerful man, who never lost his sense of humor even during the toughest times of his illness.

Raymond's family will recive family and friends at MacPherson Funeral Home, Monday, February 15 from 5 - 7 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 Am at the funeral home, with Pastor Loren Winn, officiating. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery, Newark Valley. we are very sorry to here about mr hoskins our prayers and thoughts are with you and family.he was a nice and kind guy that would help out anyone , he will be miss dearly, god rest his sole, god bless you all ,
