2012 Dick's Open: A Huge Success

Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Thousands of people were at the En-Joie golf course to witness one of the most exciting finishes the Dick's Sporting Goods Open has ever seen.

Monday qualifier Willie Wood made his way up the leaderboard on Sunday before beating Michael Allen on the first hole of a sudden death playoff to win his first champions tour event.

Tournament director John Karedes says it was the perfect ending to an almost perfect week, except for the rain on Friday.

And he adds, he couldn't be happier for Wood.

Coming up Tuesday night in Action Sports, we'll tell you why tournament organizers are looking to move the tournament from it's normal date to this same time next year.
