Fuller's Final Farewell

On Thursday night, Reggie Fuller walked off the basketball court for the final time in his collegiate career, but unlike every other Binghamton basketball player before him, he walked off the court in the NCAA Tournament. Reggie certainly disappointed with the outcome of the game against Duke, but nonetheless, pleased with his career and his final performance in Bearcat gear.
"Reg-gie Ful-ler! Reg-gie Ful-ler!"
"It feels especially well right now because we had a great season and like Coach Broadus said, we had to lose sometime and we might as well lose to a great team like Duke," says Fuller. "I'm sad that we lost, disappointed that we lost, but it had to end sometime."
"His effort was great," says Coach Kevin Broadus. "He was over-manned. He was undersized but his effort and energy is always good for us."
"Reggie brought it every day," says fellow senior Jaan Montgomery. "I would bang him and bang him and hit him and foul him all day long and he's a tough kid with energy for days his heart is just huge."
"He worked hard on the rebounds," says Chretien Lukusa. "He never gives up. He just fights real hard and we're going to miss him a lot next season. Hopefully, we get someone else to fill them big shoes that he left."
Fellow senior Jaan Montgomery added one other note after the game. It's a little scary just how good this Bearcats team could be next year. All but he and Reggie Fuller are back on the Bearcats for next season. Wrapping up our coverage in Greensboro, Brendan O'Reilly, Action Sports.
