This is the STAC Fall cheerleading competition held at BU's Events Center.
The teams are judged on skills such as tumbling, choreography, projection and the overall execution of their routines.
After spending many Friday nights and Saturdays on the sidelines cheering for the football players, the cheerleaders had their turn in the spotlight today.
They say the chance to show off their skills is what makes it all worth it.
"It takes so much work, it really does, but it's all worth it in the end and pays off," says Binghamton High School senior Shaina Wilson. "No matter if we come in first or last, we always fun doing what we do."
And for the third year in a row, the Union-Endicott squad took first place in the Varsity Division.
Horseheads was second, Chenango Valley placed third.
U-E also took first place in the JV Division.
