Walton Wins Shootout With Newark Valley

ENDICOTT - Three Walton backs rushed for more than 100 yards as the Orange Crush won a shootout over Newark Valley 48-28 to advance to next week's Class "C" championship game.

The two teams combined for more than 700 yards of offense.

It was Newark Valley's first playoff game since 2001.

Troy Schiess threw two touchdown passes and rushed for another in the losing effort.

Walton moves on to face Chenango Forks for the championship.
