ENDICOTT - Syracuse Post-Standard columnist Neil Kerr wrote in his pregame prediction, "Why even bother playing this game? Westmoreland rolled through the regular season, it rolled through the Section III tournament, and it will likely roll all the way to a state championship."

Apparently, somebody forgot to tell Groton.

The Indians did the rolling, dominating the state's top-ranked Class D team, 40-11.

Ethan Tilibein rushed for 221 yards and three touchdowns while the Groton defense held Westmoreland to 11 rushing yards on 22 attempts.

The Indians move on to the state semifinals next week against Section 6 champion Randolph.
